I also want to acknowledge the extraordinary uncertainty that we all—students and parents especially, but also faculty and staff across the university—are feeling and, yes, suffering under.
These are challenging days for all of us, with no easy end to the challenges in sight. But my comfort is this: Honors students are wonderfully good at turning difficulties and uncertainties into real gains. So let’s rise to these challenges together, and work together, to keep ourselves, our lives and educations, and our communities, safe and growing and moving forward.

I’m writing today to say clearly and loudly: Black lives matter. The horrifying deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many others cry out to all of us to listen, learn, and act.
Our Honors College is an inclusive, mutually supportive community of students, faculty, and staff. We seek to prepare our students and ourselves to lead positive change in the world. Our Honors College must be a place where we learn to live together as anti-racists, and where we work together and with others to help create an anti-racist world that truly is just for all.

COVID-19 update:
Visit the App State COVID-19 Information website for the latest official updates.
Beginning March 23, App State transitioned from in-person instruction to a system of alternative course delivery. We will return to in-person instruction as soon as reasonably possible.
In response to COVID-19, we in the Honors College are actively practicing both physical distancing and social solidarity and responsibility. We are very much open for business, but are also currently working hard to limit the need of students, faculty, and staff to come to Appalachian Hall. To connect with us, please email honors@appstate.edu or call 828-262-2083 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. To connect with Dean Jeff Vahlbusch, please email him at 国内苹果怎么上twitter. We will respond as soon as possible.
